My Boys

Looking for a critique on this one... I feel like it's lacking something, but can't put my finger on it. Any suggestions? Maybe it's just that I've taken one million pictures of them and I'm desensitized to their cuteness. I do have to give myself props for capturing two smiles in one picture--that is pretty rare for these two.

This is Emerson--one of my two favorite subjects to photograph. So sweet and serene as he investigates the woods where we were exploring. I tried a "Whimsical" tutorial on this, and I think I really like it.

By the way, I'm going to have to really challenge myself to post pictures on here that are not of my kids. I think that challenge is part of why I'm excited to have started this blog.
